How to get more Comments on your Blog
All bloggers isn’t as lucky as anyone else when it comes to comments. Even Professional Bloggers with more than 2years in the field can’t get that much of comments in their blog posts. There are only 1 out of the 100 who are leaving and interacting with a comment. In some extent, this is just the way it is and we need to get used to it, but there are still ways to encourage more visitors to interact on your blog.
I will list some ways and techniques to increase comment numbers on your blog
- Interact with Comments left by your readers - If someone leaves a comment, interact with them. Make them feel that their comments are valued. This gets harder and harder as your blog grows but it is important in the early days of your blog. It creates a culture of interactivity and gives the impression of to other readers that your comment section is an active place.
- Easy way of commenting - Make sure to let your visitors leave a comment in an easy way instead of the hard way. I am talking about comment section where you need to be logged in first or registered. Most people will leave your blog (about 85%-95% or maybe more) without even leaving a comment even if they do want to (they are not lazy at all) because they don’t want to give personal details just to leave a comment. So, make sure that you keep your comments section as simple and as easy to use as possible.
- Open Ended Posts - If you said every single thing you can say on a topic then most likely you will get less comments than you expected.
- Ask Questions - Including specific questions in posts definitely helps get higher number of comments in your posts.
This is just some of the many ways to increase your comments in every posts. You can also make some of your own ways on how to get more comments in your posts and maybe you can increase your own comments every posts with your own techniques.

wow! your comments aren’t moderated.. :) i will disable comment moderation now, thanks for inspiring me.. :) anyway, akismet is there to eat spam right? :) cheers, angelo!
Yes my comments aren’t “that” moderated instead if this is your first comment post then it will be in moderation queue. Akismet is doing much thing than I expected so I really don’t need to do anything unless I trust the people leaving comments. :)
About Linux, I don’t think many will like Linux because of it “not user-friendly” enough like Windows. LoL

hi angelo! :) good tips.. will do that.. by the way, i love this:
“And a lot of people believe that the way Windows does things is the way computers do things; so when they come across something that is done differently in Linux they think “Linux is unintuitive”.
That is very true. I hope Linux eventually becomes mainstream OS.. and now, with the proliferation of UMPC’s, and people seeing and appreciating the benefits of opensource apps, it it likely to happen..maybe not that soon..but it eventually will. let’s cross our fingers.. :)
