Managing your Blog’s Design
Blogs all around the world wide web has their own theme and design. Many has their Logos and other’s don’t. But can you imagine if your blog is much larger than your readers’ screen resolution? Well come to think of it, not everyone is using the same screen resolution as yours.
By dealing with a screen resolution you don’t have to worry about the height of the blog instead the width. By dealing with the width, make sure not to make the blog too large for the screen’s width. Designs should not vary to just having a great, sexy design instead it should also be optimized for different screen resolution.
Designs vary with 1 column, 2 columns, and 3 columns design and in which is the normal of these three is the 2 columns. 2 column themes are popular than any others when it comes to downloading free themes.
Sidebar Positioning
If you have 2 columns make sure you put the sidebar in the right part of your blog so your visitors can read the post better even if they have low screen resolution. But if you have 3 columns, make sure to put one sidebar on the left most part of the blog with the links so your visitors can navigate your blog even without scrolling.
Wide screen LCD monitors can also be a pain in the neck if your blog has an attribute of width=”100%” for the whole body. Can you imagine what can be your blog’s look if one has a wide screen? Of course, the text will be stretched out and will look weird and if worse thing comes, your whole site’s design will be messed up. So to make sure you don’t mess up your blog design, make some point and think of having a maximum of 1008px of width for the blog and make the whole body in the center. It should lessen the chance that your design will be messed up in different screen resolution.
Text Design
Text colors are mostly White with dark background, Black with light background and having a small text with size of 9-12 pixels. But don’t you know that this can give impact to your blog’s readership? So make sure to think of the color contrast of your page and not just because you like it like that.
When dealing with sizes you should have a more common knowledge in this area. This should be of normal size instead of the very tiny text or very large one.
Make some change. Don’t just stick with the one you are using because you like it. Think of your readers too and make sure they like what your blog looks like.
