Reasons why you should join a Blog Network

After posting yesterday a basic Introduction to Blog Networks, someone e-mailed me asking about reasons on why should a blogger join a blog network and it turned my attention to some positive things on why joining a blog network.

Relationship

First thing to count about, of course, is building relationship. Many bloggers enjoyed being a part of or a member of something larger than themselves and that it was the relationship with their co-bloggers. Many blog networks have some communication systems like forum, chat, and a mailing list and the new VoIP Sessions.

Traffic

All blogs (including sites that’s not a blog) start without any bit of traffic in it, specially bloggers, who don’t have any friends and connection in the blogosphere (except if you have friends who are already blogging). The result was finding readership will take you a year or so before can attain hundred readers or even a hundred pageviews a day.

Search Engine Optimization

One pros that I can think of being in most blog networks is that on the day your blog launches, you are guaranteed to be linked to from each blogs in the network. Being linked to by other blogs on other domains is one of the best ways to get higher rankings in search engines, and will lately lead to blog traffic.

Administration

This is not very much likely to contribute but in some cases this can teach you aspects to make your blog neat and tidy. A blog network often handles administrative works such as moderation of comment spam. You can’t let readers leave your blog of course just because you have hundreds of spam in your blog.

Expertise

Many bloggers start without the skills needed to setup and ran a blog. Very few of which became successful blogs and blog networks can offer a large range of skills and expertise to help bloggers grow a blog. Similarly, when you come across a problem in a network with many bloggers, it’s amazing how quickly the problem can be solved even without doing anything.

Education in Blogging

There are some bloggers who will join networks to learn how to blog on a much professional level so that they can use it in their own blogging ventures.

This is just some of the reasons why bloggers are joining blog networks and in this post, I only tackled the reasons on why to join blog networks.
